Position Summary:
The Web Producer ensures that projects are produced according to strategy, requirements and schedule. This position works with user experience, strategy, design, content, and internal and external technical teams for website and other interactive projects. The Web Producer has specific ownership of deliverables throughout the process.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure products are launched to the websites in a timely manner
- Responsible for each stage of multi-phase social networking campaign production (from contribution strategy, to copy, testing, and launch)
- Manage various on- and off-line marketing programs covering blogs, email, micro-sites, and homepage applications and content management
- Work with team members to define deliverables, allocate resources and manage new media projects as they are defined.
- Manage priorities, content, risks, issues, and deliverables ensuring that they are produced, reviewed, approved, and posted on time.
- Manage testing and launch process with ownership for quality assurance
- Track and report performance of initiatives
- Prepare scheduled and ad-hoc reporting to identify production trends, and measure weekly output
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field plus 4-6 years of experience in coordinating interactive campaign production for cutting-edge online deliverables
- Passion and knowledge of top social networking site (e.g., Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail, able to meet critical deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to reprioritize workflow as needed, while maintaining production and departmental objectives; able to work independently
- Fundamental working knowledge of Microsoft products, ability to navigate through proprietary software environments, and working knowledge of Content Management Systems (DNN)
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, ability to multi-task, and basic copy editing skills
- Team player-desire and ability to help across other departments and areas when needed
