Advisory Councils
Chicago 2016 has created 16 advisory councils that will provide feedback to Chicago 2016 management and the board on pertinent aspects of the bid. The advisory councils play three important roles:
  1. Provide idea generation on ways to enhance Chicago’s bid for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games
  2. React to proposals put forth by 2016 management on aspects of the bid relevant to the mission of the advisory council
  3. Ensure broad-based representation and consideration from the community on aspects of the bid relevant to the advisory council’s mission
Advisory council members are drawn primarily from the at-large membership of the Chicago 2016 committee, although non-committee members are added from time to time to provide expertise or other valuable insights.
